HSE Invest is carrying out supervision of works according to the Building Act and acts as the occupational health and safety coordinator.
PPE TOL, the combined-cycle unit of the Ljubljana Heating Plant (construction of gas units and refurbishment of fuel supply)
As part of the construction of the combined-cycle power plant, the Client Javno podjetje energetika Ljubljana d.o.o., plans to construct two gas turbines with a capacity of up to PEL=2x54 MWe and and input thermal power of up to 275 MWt (input power of both gas turbines), and two steam boilers utilising waste heat from hot exhaust gases of the gas turbine (heat recovery steam generator.
Natural gas will be used as the main fuel and extra light fuel oil (ELKO) as back-up fuel.
The construction area is divided into three zones:
1. The area of the new production plant PPE-TOL in the western section of the TE-TOL plant
- “A area”;
2. The area of the natural gas and extra light fuel oil supply pipeline;
3. The area of the ELKO transfer station and storage area along Zaloška cesta -
“B area”;
Construction began in 2019 and will be completed approximately in the middle of 2022.
