The BIM model | HSE Invest d.o.o.

HSE Invest participated in the project as the coordinator of all the required activities for project realisation, and supervised the execution of individual phases, i.e. designing the individual BIM /Revit submodels, as well as the aggregated BIM/Revit model. It also functioned as the BIM coordinator and BIM manager for preparing the BIM model - outline of the existing Formin HPP condition that was used and will be used as the basis for further project design required in the Formin HPP refurbishment.

The project scope included digitalisation, i.e. preparation of digital bases for conceptual solutions and subsequent design stages for the refurbishment of Formin HPP. Digital bases are intended for:

• visualisation of the plant interior and exterior and the installed technological equipment,
• clarification of any uncertainties regarding the planned modifications and the planned plant refurbishment,
• drawing the necessary information,
• optimising the planning of various activities, 
• further design in a traditional or BIM environment,
• facilitating the management of design solutions across all disciplines,
• supporting the plant maintenance,
• supporting the plant operation,
• etc.

Digitalisation included the following activities:

• laser scanning and photography,
• modelling and preparation of BIM submodels - i.e. digital recording of information on the existing condition of the structural building blocks and basic equipment,
• Client staff training for using digital bases.
